Three Months

It's amazing the progression of babies. It seems like just yesterday that we were learning how to diaper and feed two little babies. Now they are smiling, giggling, and starting to sit up. It's happening so fast! Both have mastered smiling for a few weeks now. Ben is giggling a ton and Caroline is starting to catch on to the fun. Caroline is also learning to sit up a little. She can't stand to be laying in someone's arms. She wants to sit up like a big girl and will curl up until you sit her up. Ben's not quite there yet, but he has a lot more weight to hold up. They are working at their own paces and it's cool to see they have their own personalities. They have both been going through growth spurts and eating every hour for the past three or four days. Needless to say Becky is tired and has no free time.

For those of you that haven't seen the most recent pictures, here are some new ones...

2 Month Checkup

The twins visited the pediatrician this past Thursday for their 2 month checkup. Benjamin weighed in at 11 lbs, 6 oz and was 22 3/4 inches tall. Caroline was 9 lbs, 4 oz and 22 1/2 inches tall. They received 4 shots each and had a cranky day as a result. They are healthy babies and making great progress. We will keep you updated. They go back to the doctor in two months for their next checkup....and more shots :-( !!!

Mark your calendars!

During Becky's last few weeks of doctors appointments, the OBGYN had suggested the 12th of July for a C-section. We had been excited about that date and it was approaching very quickly. But a phone call today changed that.

Becky received a phone call from her OB today, and it was brought up that the babies can be delivered early. So.......Thursday, June 28th, we will go in to deliver the twins!!! I am super excited, and now that the date is closer, I am getting nervous. Becky is full of energy now and really looking forward to them being out and with us. We think it is for the better though.
Becky has been really uncomfortable the past few weeks, laying at home and working from her laptop. The babies don't thump or kick her hard any more, there isn't much room left in there, but they do push on her. They are both getting so strong.

At our last ultrasound, the baby girl had surpassed the baby boy in weight. Baby Girl was weighing at around 4lbs, 6oz and Baby Boy was weighing in at around 4lbs, 1oz. This is still a little under the power curve for baby weight, but they don't have as much room as single babies do in there. In 2 more weeks, the could both be around the 6lb mark, but 5lb twins usually do very well.

Well we will keep everyone posted on the happenings as they occur. Ultimately the babies' can decide if they want to show up earlier, but we now have a date for when we can introduce them to everyone. Woo-hoo!! Bye for now!
